About Tasty Planet

Tasty Planet presents a hip and edgy combo of travel journalism and social commentary delivered with visually loaded footage and useful, approachable dialogue. The editing is an outstanding mélange of new and old school techniques with some funky guerilla-style filming thrown in.

Each episode reveals essential details that focus on the profound characteristics of each location and journey, especially the blueprint for that society: food & drink.

The intention of Tasty Planet is not to re-create “Survivor” or “National Geographic”, but instead to provide a detailed investigation into the people, places, and cultures that are so often by-passed in favor of more touristy destinations.

The program specifically addresses the growing desire of the traveler who wishes to immerse him or herself into a destination that is in the midst of economic development. By eating and drinking “with the locals,” newcomers can get a visceral understanding of how a particular group of people are evolving, or in some cases devolving, on a social plane.

Tasty Planet has been developed and designed for the person who doesn’t find the insular and familiar travel experience satisfying on a soul level, and as a result wants to press their physical barriers to include travel experiences that plunge them deeper into other cultures so they may more intimately understand their own relationship to themselves, their community, and society.
